KTM recently introduced the 2024 Super Duke 1390R, succeeding the 1290 Super Duke. This new model features a redesigned LED headlight and a larger fuel tank for a more streamlined appearance.
Alongside its counterpart, the KTM Super Duke 1390R EVO, this bike inherits features from the 1290 Super Duke while adopting a fresh design inspired by the 990 Duke.
KTM Super Duke 1390R Specifiction
This high-performance street bike is more powerful and lighter, with subtle changes to the headlight and winglets. It sports a stacked LED headlight, new tank spoilers, and winglets. The subframe cover is smaller, giving it a sleeker look. Importantly, the 1390 model keeps the sturdy frame of the 1290 Super Duke R.
Under the hood, the Super Duke 1390R boasts 48mm WP Apex forks with adjustable compression, rebound, and preload. The rear shock has separate adjustments for high and low-speed compression damping.
KTM has also revamped the fuel tank, now with a larger 17.5-liter capacity. The bike is powered by a new 1350cc LC8 engine, delivering an impressive 190bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. A new cam shift system enhances power and torque distribution. The motorcycle features a redesigned airbox, shorter throttle bodies, and an upgraded ram air system. The top two gears have been revised for a smoother ride.
Beyond performance, the Super Duke 1390R introduces various features, including a tire pressure monitoring system, traction control, a full-color TFT display, TPMS, Cruise control, and KTMConnect functionality. It offers five riding modes: Rain, Street, Sport, Performance, and Track. Buyers can add optional features like Engine Brake Control and a 5-step adjustable Wheelie Control function.
New KTM Super Duke 1390R Price
While the exact price is yet to be announced, the Super Duke 1390R is expected to cost slightly more than the outgoing model when it hits the European market soon. The enhancements in design and performance make it a promising addition to the KTM Super Duke legacy.
